Also, it is good for your overall health and well-being, which may have an indirect effect on your mood as well.


Exercising is not the only physical activity that one could partake in to help themselves. Studies have shown that intimacy is a big way to relieve stress and anxiety. Intimacy can mean a number of many things, but in this case, we can see that hugging somebody, kissing another, or having sex may be great ways of reducing the symptoms. Intimate physical activity with another person releases certain hormones, such as cortisol, which are big in combating stress and anxiety. Even something as simple as a hug may be able to reduce levels of stress. Physical activity has been shown to help people with their mental symptoms and with stress, exercise and intimacy both play a part in the reduction of symptoms.

Don’t tackle everything alone

One of the biggest threats to ourselves is thinking we have to tackle all the problems alone. It is important that we understand that there are people willing to help us with our problems. If these options are not readily available, there is also the option of getting a support pet. Studies have shown that the mere presence of animals in our lives helps with multiple problems, including stress and anxiety. Couple that with the physical need of petting the animal, having a routine that helps clear your mind, and having to partake in physical activity, having a pet is a great way to combat feelings of stress and anxiety. Sometimes the best way to deal with something is to have a friend help you out. By starting a relationship with your pet, you may be able to beat stress and anxiety together.
